Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of mushrooms of choice, thinly sliced

  • 2 cloves of garlic, grated

  • olive oil, just enough to sauté

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

  • fresh thyme, to taste

  • 1 tsp ground thyme

  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce

  • pepper, to taste

  • ¼ cup red wine

HELPFUL TIPS

  • If you wash the mushrooms, use a wet paper towel to rub the dirt off; if you choose to wash them with water to get the dirt off know that you will have to sauté the mushrooms for longer to reduce the liquid.

Instructions

  1. Clean mushrooms and thinly slice; set aside.

  2. On a skillet, add butter, oil, and grated garlic and sauté over medium heat.

  3. Add sliced mushrooms and soy sauce to pan.

  4. Cook for 5 minutes until the mushrooms start to brown.

  5. Add white wine and dried and thyme and cook until liquid has evaporated.

  6. Season with pepper to taste.
