Day Trip to the Valley of Fire State Park from Vegas
After spending a few days in Las Vegas with friends, I decided to take a solo drive—about an hour northeast—to Valley of Fire State Park. Although it is the opposite direction, I also went to see the colorful Seven Magic Mountains statues, which is fun to see in person. Valley of Fire turned out to be a hidden gem—beautiful red rock formations, easy-to-navigate roads, and far fewer tourists than I expected. I visited in the summer, and although it was incredibly hot, it was still such a fun and worthwhile day trip from Las Vegas.
As you can see in the map, the park is small, so you don’t need to plan in advance
